If you’ve been following along on social media you know I’m in North Carolina this weekend for a Writer’s Workshop.

It is a bit scary I will admit. It’s one thing to post on my little blog, it’s quite another to stick my neck out and actually call myself a writer enough to pay to go to something to further my calling. It’s been terrific so far. I can’t wait to share more with you when I return.

Without further ado, here are my Friday Faves this week:

First on my list this week, is Hope*writers. Hope*writers is a group of writers who write about hope and encourage others. Led by Emily P. Freeman, Myquillyn Smith (The Nester), Gary (Emily and Myquillyn’s Dad) and Brian Dixon.  I joined the group this past spring. I love the support and encouragement I receive, along with the advice about the business side of writing and blogging. I have grown leaps and bounds in my knowledge and commitment to writing since joining. But perhaps the best part is the people I’ve met (most virtually until this weekend). If you’re a blogger, aspiring writer (fiction or nonfiction alike) learn more here.

I love Gilmore Girls. Love! In preparation for their new season releasing on November 25th on Netflix, I have been rewatching each season and introducing some episodes (those that are appropriate) to my girls. Well, I can’t tell you how excited I was when I found out fellow blogger (and virtual friend) Mary Carver just released a devotional entitled Fast Talk & Faith: A 22-Day Devotional Inspired by Gilmore Girls!!! I downloaded it immediately and devoured several days worth on the plane ride. If you’re a Gilmore Girls fan or honestly, even if you’re not this is a terrific devotional and you won’t regret it.

These Toms  purchased them for the conference. I wanted something stylish, and comfortable that wouldn’t take up much room in my suitcase. These checked all the boxes.

I’m getting ready to send my monthly newsletter, it’s full of encouragement, inside stories and free stuff! Go here and sign up now. I promise you won’t regret it.
